Module will be placed on Xperia 1 II's backside
CrucialTec will supply its fingerprint scanner module for Sony’s Xperia 1 II 5G smartphone, the company said on Wednesday.
Xperia 1 II is the first 5G smartphone to go on sale in Japan. Sony said it applied its Bravia TV display technology and Alpha camera technology to the phone.
CrucialTec’s module will be based on capacitive sensing. The module will be placed at the rear of the phone.
CrucialTec said it will also be supplying its ultra-thin optical fingerprint scanning module for future models made by Sony.
