Wipam, a supplier of RF front end module to Samsung Electronics, has sent filings for an initial public offering (IPO) on KOSDAQ to the Financial Supervisory Service, the company said Wednesday.
The company wasn’t limited to supplying goods to wireless handsets and had the potential to expand to diverse sectors, Wipam CEO Dae Kyu Yu said.
The IPO will help Wipam’s globally accepted technology be known to more investors and as well as elevate the company to a top-tier RF component supplier, Yu added.
Wipam posted 11.1 billion won in sales in the first quarter of 2020 and an operating loss of 0.6 billion won.
The company marked operating profits of 12 billion won and sales of 125.4 billion won last year. It was a rise of 144% and 94%, respectively, from 2018.
