According to CounterPoint
Apple’s iPhone SE was the best selling phone in South Korea in the second quarter of 2020, according to market research firm CounterPoint.
This was followed by Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Plus 5G and Galaxy S20 5G.
Samsung controlled 67% market share, followed by Apple’s 19% and LG Electronics’ 13% in South Korea, the firm said.
Smartphone sales increased 9% in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, CounterPoint said.
First quarter sales dropped by 20% year over year due to it being the traditional off season for smartphones and the COVID-19 pandemic but demand recovered in the second quarter centered around mid-tier phones, the research firm said.
