Semiconductor component maker Haesung DS has posted 12.5 billion won in operating income in the third quarter of 2020.
It is a rise of 37.9% year over year, the company said.
Haesung DS posted net income of 8.4 billion won and sales of 119 billion won in the quarter, a rise of 5% and 14.9% year over year, respectively.
Its accumulated sales from January to September stood at 345.3 billion won, a rise of 25.6% from the same time period a year ago. Operating income for the period was 37.4 billion won, a rise of 144.1% year over year. Net income was 27.8 billion won in the period, a rise of 117.3% from a year ago.
Demand rise from memory semiconductors and car semiconductor lead frames was contributing to the performance boost, a Haesung DS spokesperson said.
The company produces semiconductor package substrate and lead frames, each account for 72% and 28% of sales in the first half of 2020.
