All employees found negative for COVID-19
SK Hynix has resumed operation at its factory in China on Tuesday following a brief shutdown.
The factory in Chongqing was ordered to shutdown on Sunday by the local government following the revelation that one of its employees have contracted COVID-19.
The employee was diagnosed with the virus in South Korea upon his return at the airport.
All 2,700 employees at the factory were tested and found negative for COVID-19. Those who made contact with the employees were also tested and found negative.
SK Hynix said impact from the halt was minimal as the factory in Chongqing was for back-end processes such as packaging in chip production.
