SKC will integrate its semiconductor material and components businesses to subsidiary SKC Solmics.
SKC’s CMP pad, black mask and wet chemical businesses, together valued at around 151.3 billion won, will be transferred to SKC Solmics for shares. SKC Somics will issue around 80 million shares to SKC for the businesses.
The process will be completed by the first quarter of 2021.
SKC made SKC Solmics a wholly owned subsidiary recently. SKC Solmics will be the semiconductor investing arm of SKC after the transfer of business is complete, SKC said.
SKC Solmic’s cleaning factory in Wuxi, China is expected to be completed next year.
The company has posted accumulated sales of 130.4 billion won this year as of the third quarter. This is near level with its sales for the whole year of 2019 of 138.8 billion won.
