Accessory uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

Samsung Electronics said on Monday that it was launching its location tracking accessory Galaxy SmartTag in South Korea.
The tag can be connected via a key ring to Galaxy devices as well as pets and keys.
Users can use the SmartThings Find feature on the SmartThings app to register the tag and locate them.
Bluetooth Low Energy technology sends the location of anything with the tag attached to the smartphone. It even works while the device is offline. The tag will chime and when you can’t see them by tapping on the smartphone when you think you are nearby.
Samsung said the tag is powered by a CR2032 coin battery thank will last 300 days. It will cost 29,700 won and come in black.
