Hanmi Semiconductor has won in its patent infringement lawsuit against Genesem at the Supreme Court of South Korea, the company said on Friday.

The court accepted that Genesem has used core technologies owned by Hanmi without permission.

Hanmi filed its lawsuit against Gensem in April 2018, claiming the latter made equipment using patents used for its own Vision Placement equipment.

Vision Placement is used to clean, dry and inspect semiconductor packages.

Earlier this month, Hanmi has filed a second, new lawsuit against Gensem. The case is waiting for the verdict by a district court.
