Former 3AM Korea head Jung
Iljin Materials on Wednesday named former 3M Korea president Jung Byung-kook as a new independent CEO.
Jung will oversee new businesses and global sales, while current CEO Yang Jeom-sik will manage the firm’s research, technology and production of elecfoil.
Jung joined 3M Korea in 1984. He was named president and managing director in 2011, a post he kept until 2016.
The new independent CEO, in a statement, said he will focus the company’s efforts on maximizing its global sales capability to match the fast-changing electric vehicle battery market.
