For environmentally friendly production process
Samsung Display said on Wednesday that its OLED panels used in Galaxy Note20 has received the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification.
The certification mark is given by the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute to environmentally friendly products.
The institute looked at carbon emission, water usage, affect on water and other criteria that goes into the production of the panel for three months. The OLED panel passed seven criteria of the government agency, Samsung Display said.
Samsung Display’s OLED panel used in Galaxy Z Flip had also received the EPD certification.
The company added that it was enforcing various policies related to Environment, Society and Governance (ESG).
