Samsung Display and LG Display is showing off their next-generation display panels at SID Display Week 2021, which will run from May 17 to 21.
Samsung Display said it will showcase a panel called S Foldable, which folds twice, inward and outward.
It will also show off a 17-inch foldable panel that can be folded into 4 to 3 ratio in tablet mode and wider for monitor mode.
Samsung Display will also show off its slidable panel. The panel is smartphone sized but can extended on its side to become wider.
It will also show off its under panel camera technology at the show.
Samsung Display will also publish 27 papers related to next-generation emission material and thin-film transistors.
LG Display will show off its 83-inch OLED TV panel, which has 20% higher luminance efficiency. The firm unveiled it earlier at CES.
It will also show off its cinematic sound OLED, a panel that emits sound on its own, as well as its bendable, rollable and transparent panels.
LG Display will also who off its OLED on Silicon panel, which will be used for augmented reality.
It will also show off an “ultra-large” panel shaped like the alphabet T, which is made by connecting four panels as is aimed at ultra-large automobiles.
