System semiconductor firm Telechips said on Tuesday that it is supplying its automobile system-on-a-chip (SoC) Dolphin Plus to Avtovaz, the Russian car brand under Renault Group.
Dolphin Plus is used to power audio, video and navigation (AVN) system on cars.
The SoC is applied to Avtovaz’ Lada Enjoy Pro AVN system, Telechips said. This particular system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Yandex Auto.
The chips have been being installed to various car models by Avtovaz since April, the South Korean firm said.
Telechips is hoping that the latest supply deal opens to more in the Americas and Europe.
The company had been supplying chips for in-vehicle infotainment and head-up displays in cars for Hyundai Motor Company.
It began supplying Dolphin 3, its digital cockpit AP, to China since earlier this year.
