General Motors will recall its Chevrolet Bolt EV due to defects found in some of the batteries supplied by LG Energy Solution.
The US car firm said some of the fire involving the model was caused by production defects in some of the batter cells.
General Motors and LG Energy Solution had asked customers with the model wto set battery charging capacity at 90%.
They also asked customers with the 2019 model of the car to apply Target Charge Level Option and those with 2017 to 2018 models to set the Hill Top Reserve Option on,
The pair also asked customers to charge batteries of the model constantly and to maintain remaining power above 113kms.
It is the second recall of the model by the pair. In November last year, General Motor had recalled 68,600 units of the model that uses LG Energy Solution batteries.
