New 2TB option
SK Hynix on Wednesday launched a 2TB option for its Gold P31 solid-state drive (SSD) brand for consumers.
The company first launched 1TB and 500GB models of the brand in January.
Gold P31 comes in PCIe NVMe interface and M.2 form factor.
SK Hynix said the PCE3 NVMe interface boasts six times the speed of AHCI interface.
The SSD is optimal for notebooks and tablets and its its faster than the SATA form factor, the company said.
Gold P31 has a 3,500MB/s sequential read speed and sequential write speed of 3,200MB/s. The SSD has a ready speed of 172.2MB/s per watt, an increase of 434% in terms of efficiency.
The 2TB model has a capacity of 1200TBW.
