BASF and CATL said they will collaborate to build a sustainable battery distribution chain.

The pair will collaborate in cathode active material and battery recycling areas.

They will work to reduce the carbon footprint of their operations through BASF’s advanced manufacturing process, stable raw material supply chain and fast and efficient distribution.

CATL will localize a battery recycling system in Europe to better service the market there.

The Chinese battery maker is currently building a factory at Germany.
