
Cowin Tech said on Thursday that it will spend 8.3 billion won to expand its first factory at Asan.
The company said the expansion will triple its production capacity for smart automation system equipment.

It will build a reference for process automation in battery production to offer automation kit for cathode, separator and copper foil productions, they added.
Cowin Tech recorded 51.8 billion won in sales and 3.3 billion won in operating income during the first half of 2021, an increase of 155% and 333%, respectively, from the same time period a year ago.
The company, founded in 1998, entered the battery sector in 2012.
It offers logistics automation system for battery production.
It recently acquired battery material firm Top Material. It also offers cathodes for batteries use in electric vehicles as well as scooters.
