6 consecutive quarters of record earnings
South Korean chip foundry DB Hitek said on Friday that it recorded 435.7 billion won in revenue and 213.2 billion won in operating profit in the second quarter.
Revenue increased 59% from a year ago while operating profit jumped 162% over the same time period.
The operating margin rate reached 49% during the quarter, DB Hitek highlighted, while the earnings for the quarter marked the company's sixth consecutive quarter of record growth.
The company said it saw demand from customers increase for power management IC and other chips despite the current global supply chain issue and inflation.
DB Hitek said it will continue to develop new power management ICs and offer foundry for 5G RF chips and specialized sensors.
