With Qualcomm
Samsung has verified 8.5Gbps speed on its LPDDR5X DRAM with Qualcomm.
The company said the chip was made with its 14-nanometer (nm) node that incorporates the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) process.
The milestone only comes five months after it verified 7.5Gbps on the DRAM in March, Samsung highlighted.
The chip will be used in mobile and other applications.
More PCs are adopting LPDDR DRAM for high-performance and low power.
Meanwhile, data centers will be able to save in cost from the low power consumption of the chip, Samsung said.
The tech giant had achieved 6.4Gbps in the previous generation DRAM, LPDDR5.
