Samsung Electronics on Aug. 1 unveiled its premium tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6 that adopted a remotely-controlling S Pen.
“Complete with innovative new functions, the Galaxy Tab S6 will offer more than users expected when it comes to mobile experiences,” said Goh Dong-jin, president of Samsung’s IT and Mobile Communications division.
The Tab S6 will be the first of Samsung’s tablet series to support the S Pen Air actions, which recognizes the movement of the S Pen, allowing it to remotely control the tablet. This means users can take pictures or videos, or control content without holding the tablet in their hands.
The remote control function had been adopted for the Galaxy Note 9 and will be applied to the Galaxy Note 10 that’s set to be unveiled next week.
Notes handwritten with the S Pen can also be easily converted into digital text and exported to formats like Microsoft Word in a click.
The Tab S6 was fitted with the Gen 10.5 OLED displays, and it’s the first Samsung tablet to feature a rear-facing dual camera on the back with 13MP and 5MP. For photos, AI-based Neutral Processing Unit analyzes the shoots to create the optimal settings. The S6 will also the first tablet from Samsung with the on-screen Fingerprint Scanner.
The latest Tablet will come in the colors of Mountain Grey, Cloud Blue and Rose Blush. They will hit the shelves later this month.
