Intel is aiming to ship 100 million units of AI PC, what it calls computers powered by its AI processors, by next year, a 150% jump from its goal by 2025 of 40 million units.

Intel Sales & Marketing Group Director Jack Huang said on Monday in a press conference in South Korea said most of these PCs shipping next year will be based on the US company’s Meteor Lake __ which launched late last year and has shipped 20 million units this year.

The 100 million units include desktop and laptop and notebook will account for 75% to 85% of that figure, the director said.

Besides Meteor Lake, these PCs will also be powered by Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake-S, Arrow Lake-H, HX and U, he said.

Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake-S launched in South Korea last week and they are codenames for Intel Core Ultra 200V (for notebooks) and Intel Core Ultra 200S (for desktops), respectively.

According to Huang, Ultra 200V has a NPU that has four times the performance of its predecessor. Ultra 200S offers exceptional gaming performance and power efficiency, he added.
