The telco will contribute in COVID-19 response, it said
KT CEO Koo Hyun-mo as been named one of the commissioners on International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) response team to the COVID-19 pandemic, the telco said.
Koo will be the only South Korean among 58 members of the BroadBand Commission __ formed in 2010 __ jointly organized by the ITU and UNESCO. His tenure will last two years.
Koo’s 34 years of expertise in telecommunication and information technology working at KT was behind the nomination, the telco said.
KT will contribute its know-how in telecommunication in the global fight against the pandemic, it added.
