
Seoul Semiconductor has won its patent lawsuit against in Philips in Germany.
The South Korean company has now won all four lawsuits it filed against Philips there.
Seoul Semiconductor won an order of a permanent injunction and recall against Philips from the district court in Dusseldorf.
The court said Philips’ lamps sold by European distributor Leuchtstark Vertriebs violated Seoul Semiconductor’s patents related to increasing the brightness of light in LED chips.
Philips can no longer sell the product and all units sold after March 2017 must be recalled.
Seoul Semiconductor won its first suit against Philips last in October.
It has filed multiple lawsuits for the past three years in six countries, which has led to around 30 injunctions against Philips.
