Hanwha Corporation said on Monday that it has formed a committee for environment, society and governance (ESG).
The committee will be under the board and over half of its members will be comprised of external directors, Hanwha said.
The committee will supervise legal issues and whether the company’s management decision complies to the law.
A ESG council will also be formed that make sure the committee’s decision are enforced.
Hanwha will strengthen its ESG and compliance activities with the formation of the committee, the company said.
