Electronic component company SoluM said on Wednesday that it will collaborate with Cisco to develop an electronic shelf label (ESL) integrated solution.
The solution will be applicable in retail stores, offices and lockers, SoluM said.
Customers can use Cisco’s existing network for the service, the company said. Cisco’s gateway can be combined with SoluM’s ultra small USB-type gateway for the digital label that can managed and have application distributed.
SoluM said it will use Cisco’s network and solution to offer electronic employee ID, electronic nameplate and office asset management tags by combining the ESL integrated solution with IoT technology.
SoluM’s solution will be also applicable in hospital beds and medical devices at hospitals for them to manage their assets, the South Korean company said.
