Korean telco to expand AI, 5G global partnerships
CEO of South Korean telco KT has shared the success model of the country’s prevention in COVID-19 pandemic with GSMA director general Mats Granryd, the telco said on Monday.
KT CEO Koo Hyun-mo, in a conference call on Friday with Granryd, reportely talked about the test, trace and treatment method South Korea deployed against the virus, saying the country’s IT infrastructure was the foundation for its success.
KT said the call was made between the two to find a way for tech to help global economic recovery in light of the pandemic.
Koo said he KT will expand its global partnerships in 5G and AI to help the digital transformation of traditional industries for new growth.
