LG Uplus and GS E&C will apply artificial intelligence (AI) on the CCTV system of construction sites to increase worker safety, the companies said Thursday.
The telco will also provide 4G LTE and 5G wireless network optimized for use in such sites, it said.
The AI system will analyze people and objects from the videos recorded by the CCTVs.
It will be combined with sensors to correctly track their movements, the companies said, allowing workers to avoid danger.
The two will began trials in September and aim to commercialize the service next year.
